In the past couple of days however, the girls and boys of 3P have been gaining first hand knowledge about the hundreds of uses of metals and minerals in technology. I think they have a much deeper understanding of the myriad of its uses, and how our technology depends on various rare earth metals. While smart phones, iPads and laptops come to mind, they understand that there are many other technologies that depend on geology. See the photos above about our geology work.
We have started to review some math concepts where I have noticed some gaps in knowledge. This week we reviewed the concept of angles, and how there are 180 degrees in the 3 angles of triangles, and 360 degrees in the four sided polygons. This device e on the floor at the door of our classroom will help them reinforce their knowledge ;)
In language this week we have continued editing our stories for the Rainbow Sheep Anthology,. I hope we will be complete and ready to take orders in the next 2 or 3 weeks!! So much left to do, but the end of the rainbow is neigh!!
